Montorosso al Mare is centrally located in the Cinque Terre or Italian Riviera, a group of five cliffside villages overlooking the Ligurian Sea. This two-night stay gave us a restorative break before we tackled Florence. We poked around the shops, unloaded a few euros, enjoyed the view from the hillside terraces behind Hotel Albergo Amici, had a hair styling experience, and of course, walked along the cliffs.  Notice the imagery in the Oratory of the Dead, pictured in Row 1 center. Damp weather kept us from hiking to neighboring villages and dozing on the beautiful beach.
